Fundraising Coordinator

Zan Wesley Holmes Community Outreach Center

The Fundraising Coordinator supports and strengthens ZWHJCOC’s fundraising operations to ensure the continued growth and sustainability of its programs. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for grant research and development, donor engagement, campaign coordination, and fundraising event support.

This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional with a commitment to nonprofit service who is seeking to develop or expand their experience across the full fundraising cycle.

This position is available immediately. The organization is actively reviewing applications and prepared to move quickly with qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Development

  • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and programming
  • Draft and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications
  • Maintain a centralized tracking system for grant deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
  • Compile program data, outcomes, and narratives to support funding requests and impact reporting
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of grant reports in compliance with funder requirements

Donor Relations and Campaign Support

  • Assist in developing and executing fundraising campaigns and initiatives
  • Support donor outreach efforts, including individual, corporate, and community partners
  • Draft donor acknowledgments, impact communications, and stewardship updates
  • Maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising activity in a database or tracking system

Events and Coordination

  • Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events and donor engagement activities
  • Prepare materials for donor meetings, presentations, and community engagements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and program goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, nonprofit operations, or a related area; internship and volunteer experience will be considered
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and compellingly
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Commitment to community impact and economic empowerment
  • Working knowledge of nonprofit fundraising practices and grant processes

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and via phone
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
