QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. One to two years related experience and/or training. ValidAlaskaCommercialDriver'sLicensewithair brake, passenger, and school bus endorsements (Districtwillassist with getting CDL if needed) Must be 21 years of age or older. Submit to and pass the pre-employment Drug and Alcoholtest. Fingerprints must clear Public Safety and FBI check. Abilitytolift40pounds. CertifiedinFirstAidepreferred. Spotlessdrivingrecord.

JOB GOAL:

Operateaschoolbuswhichtransportspupilsandotherauthorizedpersonneltoandfromschools; does related work as required or assigned.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Successfullycompleteandattendalltrainingsessionsasrequired. Checksbusbeforeeachoperationformechanicaldefectsandnotifytheproperauthorityincaseofmechanicalfailureorlateness. Transportanddischargestudentsonlyatauthorizedstops. AdheretoallDistrictrulesandregulations. Obeyalltrafficlawsandobserveallmandatorysafetyregulationsforschoolbuses. Maintaindisciplinewhenstudentsareonbusandreportproblemstoproperauthority. Keepassignedbusclean. Followassignedrouteandschedule. Performsuchothertasksandassumeotherresponsibilityasthesupervisormayassign.

LENGTH OF POSITION:

7.5 hours per day, 190 days per school year

SALARY:

Range 12 / Step 01. $28.77 per hour
