Position Overview
Client is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to support the ITSAI organization, a newly established AI & Data Engineering group. The team is responsible for building modern data platforms, establishing engineering standards, and enabling AI-driven initiatives through scalable data solutions.
This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in Databricks, dbt, and Azure Cloud who are looking to grow in modern data engineering and AI-enabled environments.
Ideal Candidate
A junior Data Engineer with 1 4 years of experience in Databricks, dbt, and Azure , eager to work on modern cloud-based data platforms while supporting enterprise AI and analytics initiatives.
Required Skills
- 1 4 years of Data Engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Understanding of structured data processing and data integration
- Strong SQL and data modeling fundamentals
Nice to Have
- Experience working with unstructured/document data
- Exposure to AI/ML or AI-enabled data platforms
- Familiarity with data engineering best practices and reusable pipeline development
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations
- Develop and support data solutions using Databricks and dbt
- Deploy and manage data workloads within the Azure Cloud environment
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish data standards and best practices
- Support integration of enterprise data platforms with AI and analytics initiatives
- Assist in developing reusable data engineering patterns and documentation
