Safety Valve Tech

Overview Longhorn Energy & Transportation LLC is seeking a skilled Safety Relief Valve Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in inspecting, testing, and maintaining safety valves to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. This position involves working with a variety of pressure relief valves in different industrial settings. A relocation bonus of $10,000 is available for qualified applicants who relocate to North Dakota. The company pays 100% of employee medical, dental, and vision insurance. Responsibilities Performs pressure relief valve repair in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code and approved quality manual. Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs. Operate equipment, including forklift, sandblaster, parts washer, propylene torch, etc. Disassemble valves without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual. Document and enter job data into the database, including photograph documentation. Coordinate with office personnel on repair requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintain equipment in the area, as required. Perform cleaning, blasting, and painting of valve components. Return valves/parts to proper bins, boxes, etc. Assemble, calibrate, tag, and certify valves per manufacturer’s repair manuals. May be required to assist in field assignments. May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on the job scope. Operate motor vehicles, as required. Attend job and safety training, as necessary or required. Physical and Mental Requirements Capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 75 pounds. Must possess the ability to walk and climb, excluding non-field duty situations. Satisfactory vision or observational skills, with or without reasonable accommodations, enabling the employee to conduct investigations. Adequate manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodations, to execute routine office tasks. Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to carry out office responsibilities and travel as needed to off-site locations. Adequate personal mobility for navigation within a refinery or plant setting, including the ability to access elevated platforms through ladders and stairwells. Capacity to maintain focus and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications a plus. Solid working knowledge of the ASME and NBIC codes a plus. Experience 5+ years as relief valve technician, stable job history, prefer clean criminal record.
