Job Description The Used Car Buyer will have a primary responsibility of executing a process which involves prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale. Salary: $22 / hour plus commission, based on performance On-Target Earnings: $60000 - $80000 / year Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for calling, following up and schedulingappointments for customers to come in andappraise and purchase their used vehicles. Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation. Interfacewith current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle. Approach,greet, and engagewith dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles. Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system. Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller. Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle. Review monthly goals with managementon vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively. Qualifications Preferred: At least 2-3 years in a Used Car Buyer role in a dealership setting, or vehicle procurement in the automotive rentalindustry. High level of customer service and excellent communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Professional personal appearance. Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards. Required: All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA. All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
