Senior Tax Associate

Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 (DOE) We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our client's growing tax team. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys technical tax work, client service, tax planning, and mentoring junior team members. The Senior Tax Associate will play an active role in tax compliance, research, planning, and client communication while supporting the successful delivery of tax engagements. Responsibilities: Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and other tax returns as applicable Gather and analyze client information, prepare workpapers, and assist in the completion of tax engagements Review work prepared by Tax Associates and interns, providing constructive feedback and guidance Support the training and development of junior staff members Prepare tax projections and identify tax planning opportunities for clients Research federal, state, and local tax issues and assist with technical tax matters Draft responses to IRS and state tax notices and correspondence Communicate with clients regarding tax matters, information requests, and engagement status Participate in client meetings and contribute to the delivery of tax solutions Manage multiple engagements and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and client service Qualifications: 2-5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on taxation CPA eligible, CPA, JD, or actively pursuing professional licensure preferred Master's degree in Taxation is a plus Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities Strong technical tax research and analytical skills Experience with tax preparation and research software Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team #J-18808-Ljbffr S Piper Staffing LLC
