TITLE: Occupational Therapist SCHEDULE:
Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
Contract Length: 143 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified REQUIREMENTS:
- BLS Certification - Required
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with eligibility in the state - Required
- Graduate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy or equivalent - Required
- Experience in providing Occupational Therapy within the outpatient setting - Strongly Preferred ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability.
- Assist patients to reach maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within their capabilities.
- Observe and evaluate treatment effects and recommend changes to the physician as needed.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments for patients across various demographics.
- Develop and implement teaching plans based on identified learning needs, including family involvement as appropriate.
- Ensure safe operation of equipment and maintain department cleanliness and safety standards. COMPLIANCE / NOTES:
- Participation in orientation and in-service training for department staff members is required.
