Job Description Job Description Gardner Health Services currently recruiting to fill a two (2) Utility (Maintenance) Worker II positions. These are full-time, 40 hour/week positions based out of Gardner's corporate offices located in Downtown San Jose, California. Under the supervision of the Facilities Supervisor provides maintenance care that may be complex and extensive in nature and may supervise the work of other maintenance and custodial personnel. May interact with vendors and coordinate maintenance projects with the Facilities Supervisor. This recruitment will remain open until filled. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 1. Minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance with knowledge of gardening and custodial work. Experience and ability to supervise maintenance activities. 2. Extensive knowledge of power tools and equipment used in the building and maintenance trades such as power saws, drills, buffers, steam cleaners etc. 3. Ability to work in all weather extremes, do lifting, stooping and bending necessary to perform the duties of the position; and work weekends and/or overtime as needed. Must be able to lift up to50 lbs. 4. Must apply safe work practices, including but not limited to hazardous waste management and handling. 5. Punctuality, good attendance and ability to work effectively with a diverse staff and public are essential. 6. Must be responsible, work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, energetic and posses good interpersonal and communication skills. 7. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. 8. Possess a valid California drivers license *If selected, other documents and certifications may be required as part of the hiring and credentialing process* Compensation: Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.
