Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a dynamic team. This role is integral in managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery, and fostering long-lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and coverage needs. Manage policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations while ensuring all activities comply with company policies. Provide expert advice on insurance options and offer solutions that meet individual business needs. Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate terms, prepare proposals, and secure competitive rates for clients. Maintain accurate records, databases, and policy details to ensure timely delivery of renewals, policy changes, and customer communications. Proactively identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to expand coverage for existing clients. Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient and effective management of client accounts. Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks in the insurance industry. Build trust with clients by adhering to ethical standards, ensuring transparency, and providing proactive communication. Qualifications / Requirements Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial insurance or account management is required. Licensing An active Property and Casualty Insurance license or the ability to obtain one within the first few months of employment is required. Skills & Proficiencies Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies, terms, and regulatory requirements. Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., AMS360, Applied Epic) is a plus. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Commitment to providing outstanding customer service in client relationships.
