Computer Repair Technician

Job Description Job Description Job Summary OnTrack Staffing is hiring skilled Repair Technicians responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems. This role focuses primarily on laptop repair in a technical, hands-on environment. Repair Technician - 1st Shift Location: Grapevine, TX Pay: $16.00/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM Key Responsibilities * Diagnose and repair laptops, including hardware and software issues * Troubleshoot computer systems to identify root causes of failures * Disassemble and reassemble computer components and peripherals * Repair or replace parts such as LCD screens, hard drives, and other components * Evaluate failed equipment to determine repairability * Perform break/fix solutions within required timeframes * Install or reinstall operating systems and software programs * Set up computer systems and hardware for users * Meet daily productivity and KPI standards * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience * 1-2 years of computer repair or technician experience required * Experience in a low-volume or production PC repair environment preferred * Familiarity with OEM brands such as Dell, HP, Toshiba, Apple, and Acer * Knowledge of component replacement (LCD, HDD, etc.) * Working toward A+ certification or currently enrolled in a technical program preferred * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Ability to analyze issues and resolve them efficiently * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Performance Expectations * Ability to meet daily KPIs within 90 days * Minimum KPI standard of 1.20 - 1.49 Additional Requirements * Ability to gather and analyze information effectively * Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Company Description OnTrack Staffing - Since 2006 Passion.
