Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.What are we looking for?The Construction QC / QA Inspector is responsible for conducting jobsite inspections and materials testing throughout the SeaTac Area.Salary & Benefits Information:The base wage or salary range for this position is $35 - $55/HR. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.What you'll do:Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervisionUtilize drawings, specifications, and diagramsUse specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasksRead and interpret plans and specificationsMaintain and calibrate standard equipmentMake detailed observations and gives the interpretation of resultsTrain/supervise and perform complex assignments and work tasksAttend project meetings alone without supervisionMaintain detailed documentation and data from test resultsCommunicate effectively with client and project teamsThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:5+ years relevant construction inspection, quality assurance and quality control experience on transportation/heavy civil projectsACI and ICC CertificationsValid Driver's License and reliable driving recordMust have Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer SkillsProficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in EnglishMust be able to read plans and specificationsMust be able to work off shifts and overtimeComputer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications. are necessaryAbility to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistanceAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in soundAbility to kneel, squat and climb occasionallyAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentOne or more of the following certifications: ICC, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WABO, WAQTC, and/or CWIIntertek: Total Quality.
