Project Engineer, Sr

Responsibilities Account for managing day to day tasks on items within your area of responsibility. Responsible for identification and closure of technical issues. Meets/Exceeds all technical commitments made to the programs. Ensures requirements baseline in documents, tracked, maintained, and verified. Ensures establishment and tracking of key Technical Performance Measures (TPM). Aides in the timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements. Work with Lead / Control Account Manager (CAM) to ensure long term planning goals are met. Works closely with first and second line functional leaders to identify and secure appropriate staffing, coordinates with the Program Management (PM) office and first line managers on proposed engineering staffing changes prior to changes. Ensure organizational standard processes are adapted, approved and followed. Leverages proven processes, lessons learned, and best practices from other parts of business or industry. Present status of projects / area of responsibility to Project Managers, Program Managers and Executive Leadership as required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. 3 years of professional experience. US Citizen required; ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance; successful drug and background check. Desired Skills Experience with / knowledge of FBM CMC. Experience with FBM Procurement. Experience coordinating the development of LMS leadership briefings. Excellent planning and scheduling skills. Experience leading and motivating a team or group of individuals in a project or project-like environment. Effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers. Positive and enthusiastic attitude toward projects; collaborative team player. Clearance Requirements This position requires a government security clearance; US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret. Work Details Work location: Onsite Full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 9x80 every other Friday off.
