AccountantAccountant Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15228 Type: Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMResponsibilitiesSupport the full month-end close cycle, covering trial balances, adjustments, and final postings.Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and other key accounts each month.Complete income statement and balance sheet account reconciliations.Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, for month-end and year-end close.Apply incoming customer payments and research and resolve any discrepancies.Prepare checks for remote bank deposit.Follow up with customers on the status of past due balances.Produce and distribute weekly accounts receivable reports to management.Assist with sales and use tax returns and prepare personal property tax filings.Track vendor Certificates of Insurance and review exceptions to coverage limits.Handle additional accounting duties as needed.RequirementsSolid understanding of General Ledger accounting principles and practices.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software.Associate's degree in accounting or a related field.2-3 years of relevant experience.System One, and its subsidiaries including Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
