Regional Heavy Equipment is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cleaning Laborer to join our team in Lockport, NY. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across our shop floor, break areas, and facilities. If you take pride in a clean work environment and enjoy working independently, this is a great opportunity to support a premier local equipment dealer.
Key Responsibilities
- Shop & Facility Upkeep: Sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and basic cleanup across the shop floor, breakrooms, restrooms, and administrative areas.
- Waste & Materials Handling: Collect and safely dispose of trash, recycling, and general shop waste in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Supply & Tool Organization: Maintain cleanliness around parts areas, assist with keeping common shop spaces clutter-free, and monitor cleaning supply inventory.
- Safety & Hazard Prevention: Ensure walkways, entryways, and shop floors are free of slip/trip hazards and debris.
- Parts: Potentially assist in retreiving parts from different locations
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong reliability and ability to work independently during daytime hours.
- Physical ability to perform this position, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform active manual labor.
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience in janitorial, industrial, or shop facility cleaning.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., Mops & shop vacs) and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail.
