Laboratory Technician: Bioscience We are seeking a Laboratory Technician Bioscience to join our team of scientists and work in the Manufacturing, R&D and QC departments. We seek a highly sincere, personable and focused individual with strong laboratory and organizational skills, who can manage daily laboratory duties. Qualifications & Experience: BS Degree in Biological Science with major in Biochemistry or related discipline and at least one year of research lab experience in an academic or biotech R&D laboratory. Must be self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and grow. Organized and detail oriented. Ability to multitask. Quick learner. Knowledge of statistical analysis of scientific data. Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Technical Skills: Good knowledge and work experience in molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, purification, gene cloning, PCR, transformation and transfection. Good knowledge and work experience in protein extraction, purification, quantification and identification techniques – SDS‑PAGE, Western blot, ELISA. Good knowledge and work experience in cell culture techniques, maintenance and cell‑based assay methods. Good knowledge and work experience of using lab instruments – protein/DNA electrophoresis, spectrophotometers (UV/VIS), microplate reader, fluorometer. Major Job Responsibilities: Product manufacturing: buffer, reagents and kits components, quality control testing of existing and new products. Planning and running experiments to develop and evaluate new assay development, ELISA, PAGE, Western blot, enzyme assays and related molecular biology & proteomics techniques. Work on new and existing R&D projects through coordination of laboratory team members, supervisor and laboratory director, identifying the best options regarding the R&D projects, scientific strategies and new product development. Analyzing experimental data using statistical and graphing software, and communicating results to project team, supervisor, laboratory director and executive committee. Writing manufacturing SOPs and quality control documents for new and existing research products in the areas of cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, proteomics and related disciplines. Make intellectual contributions to scientific research interests of the lab, interpret scientific experiment results, and contribute to writing technical bulletins and blogs. Writing and revising technical documents, product protocols/description, updating product content for publishing on company website, maintaining accurate records, lab notebook recordings, lab SOPs, test/QC protocols, experiment results/data and reports. Product manufacturing, quality control testing of existing and new products, and answering technical inquiries from outside researchers about our products. Planning and running experiments to develop and evaluate new assay development, ELISA, PAGE/2D gel electrophoresis, Western blot, enzyme assays and related molecular biology & proteomics techniques. Managing R&D projects through coordination of own objectives, laboratory team members, supervisor and laboratory director; identifying the best options regarding the R&D projects, scientific strategies and product development. Analyzing experimental data using statistical and graphing software, and communicating findings to project team, supervisor, laboratory director and executive committee. Make intellectual contributions to scientific research interests of the lab, interpret scientific experiment results, and contribute to writing peer‑reviewed manuscripts, technical bulletins and research grants. The role involves product sales, marketing communication, developing marketing objectives and strategies to promote the company’s products. Job Responsibilities: Work efficiently as part of a cross‑functional team to understand customer needs and sell company products in research organizations, academic institutions, and business development. Develop and execute digital marketing strategies and tactics that drive the business, including website management, content development, social media, customer relations programs and performance analytics. Coordinate the development of technical contents such as press releases, newsletters, blogs, meetings, webinars, application notes, and prepare technical content/presentations for scientific events, trade shows, and meetings. Create marketing campaigns for products & services through technical literature, newsletters, brochures, electronics and social media. Develop strategy and tactics to effectively reach potential customers using qualified leads, track, analyze and report outcomes. Gather market intelligence through customer visits and market research to develop and execute new concepts, approaches, and creative marketing campaigns to position the company as an innovator and leader in life sciences products. Comply with all applicable company policies, including health, safety, and environmental policies. Job Qualification & Experience Requirements: BS in life sciences major with at least 2-3 years of experience in developing, implementing and managing marketing plans in life sciences research products in North America. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Photoshop, InDesign, CMS and CRM are desired. Demonstrated skills in successfully developing and executing marketing plans, programs and initiatives in life sciences product market. Experience in marketing communications, mass media advertising, direct response marketing such as direct mails, e‑mails and social media. Strong communication skills including writing, verbal, presentation and interpersonal. Must be organized and detail oriented with strong work management skills.
