Dishwasher Position at The Salt ShedJoin the team of one of the country's leading independent promoters, 16 On Center Chicago, which owns and operates several live music venues, third-party production, restaurants, bars, and food halls across Chicago and New York.We're looking for someone dependable, team-oriented, and able to work efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe workspace as a Dishwasher at The Salt Shed. This role is essential to supporting a smooth operation and overall guest experience in a fast-paced, high-volume concert venue environment.Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans in a timely and efficient mannerOperate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and properlyMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dish station throughout the shiftRotate clean dishware back to the line and service areas to support uninterrupted serviceRemove and dispose of garbage and recycling; replace liners and maintain clean waste areasSweep, mop, and clean kitchen floors, mats, walls, and surfaces as directedAssist with receiving and stocking deliveriesSupport kitchen staff with basic prep tasks as neededCommunicate equipment issues or supply needs to the Kitchen Manager promptlyFollow all food safety, sanitation, and health code standardsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:0–1 year of kitchen or dishwashing experience preferred, but not requiredValid Food Handler Certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire)Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday, 4:00 PM to close (~11:00 PM)Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentDependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent energy throughout a full shiftStrong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standardsPositive, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with othersAble to take direction and work within a team-focused environmentBasic understanding of kitchen organization and workflow is a plusAbility to stand and walk for the duration of the shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodationComfortable working in a warm, fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to water, steam, cleaning chemicals, high noise levels, and common food allergensPosition Details & Benefits:Job Type: Full-time, HourlyCompensation: $19/hourPaid leave and paid sick leave in accordance with Chicago requirements.Health insurance with employer contribution, plus voluntary dental, vision, life, short term disability, accident, and hospital coverage.401(k) retirement plan with company match, once eligibility requirements are met.Dining discounts at 16 On Center properties and complimentary or discounted tickets to shows at 16 On Center venues, including Salt Shed, Thalia Hall, SPACE, and Empty Bottle, subject to availability.Transit benefits through a pre-tax payroll deduction program
