Independence Care Center is seeking an experienced and organized Medicaid Coordinator to join our team.
The Medicaid Coordinator will manage Medicaid applications, recertifications, eligibility issues, and required documentation while working closely with residents, families, and government agencies.
Responsibilities:
Process Medicaid applications and recertifications.
Collect and review required documentation.
Follow up on pending applications and eligibility issues.
Maintain accurate resident Medicaid records.
Communicate with residents, families, DSS/HRA, and other agencies.
Collaborate with Admissions, Social Services, and Business Office.
Qualifications:
Previous Medicaid experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
Knowledge of NY Medicaid requirements preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
