Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Senior Project Sourcing Manager - Transmissions, Transmission Components, Engine Components & ValveTrains to join our Procurement Organization.The Senior Project Sourcing Manager - Transmissions, Transmission Components, Engine Components & ValveTrains will work cross functionally within International interfacing with engineering, program management, quality, manufacturing, risk management, finance, aftersales, and supply chain.As Senior Project Sourcing Manager - Transmissions, Transmission Components, Engine Components & ValveTrains you will be responsible for sourcing all new programs according to the category sourcing strategy, driving cost reductions, supply base management and negotiating agreements.The key activities include leading strategic sourcing activities, supplier contract negotiations, executing commercial agreements, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and overall supplier performance management.Must reside locally. This is a local position (Onsite) Monday-Thursday, (Work from Home)FridayResponsibilitiesAccountable for sourcing all new programs (sending out RFP's /RFI's) and interface with Engineering and Supplier QualityBased upon CMT recommendations, send RFP packages out to potential suppliersFollow up with suppliers, negotiate costs to achieve best overall total cost of ownership, when data received pull together TCO and share comparison in CMT'sEngaged with Scania/MAN for alignment on common Traton Group business strategy for T2 componentsSupport VA/VE efforts to generate cost reductionsEnabler to successfully implement Dual Sourcing while also developing new sources to support body componentsThrough new program sourcing, develop and execute category strategies to align with International’s business objectives and Traton Group business strategy for improved cost, quality, or delivery opportunitiesResearch industry trends, global markets, benchmark data, and understand underlying cost driversExecute legal agreements such as Comprehensive Supply Agreements and Development AgreementsMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree and at least 5 years of purchasing/procurement experienceAt least 1 years of lead experienceORMaster's degree and at least 3 years of purchasing/procurement experienceAt least 1 years of lead experienceORAt least 8 years of purchasing/procurement experienceAt least 1 years of lead experienceAdditional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
