Picture a typical day: you arrive before the docks stir, review the maintenance schedule, and brief the yard crew. You assign tasks, confirm the safe and efficient use of tools and equipment, and set priorities based on real-time operational needs. As work progresses, you oversee maintenance and repair on vessels, docks, and yard facilities, inspect the finished jobs for quality and safety, and keep management and internal teams updated on vessel readiness and overall yard status. You manage parts and supply inventory, coordinate timelines and staffing, and keep the yard spotless and compliant with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Daily boat yard operations, including crew supervision and task assignment.
• Safe, efficient operation and coordination of yard tools, heavy equipment, and workspaces.
• Scheduling and monitoring maintenance/repairs for boats, docks, and facilities.
• Quality and safety inspections of completed work.
• Inventory control for parts and supplies; timely reordering to prevent delays.
• Collaboration with management on schedules and project timelines.
• Clear communication with internal teams on vessel readiness and yard conditions.
• Upholding safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven team leadership with delegation and performance oversight in a yard, marine, or maintenance setting.
• Experience coordinating work involving heavy equipment and commonly used marine/yard tools.
• Clear communicator—confident delivering instructions, safety briefings, and progress updates.
• Basic carpentry for docks, structures, and minor vessel fixes with a focus on durability and safety.
• Hands-on maintenance across boats, facilities, and equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive care.
• Working knowledge of safety best practices (e.g., OSHA) and a commitment to a safe workplace.
• Strong prioritization and time management; adaptable in a fast-paced yard environment.
• Background in marine, boat yard, marina, or related field highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational marine training is a plus.
• Physically able to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varied weather.
• Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred.
