Chandler Unified School District Job DescriptionClassification: Support StaffJob Title: CustodianCalendar: 2385PT Part-Time or 2612H Full Time (12 Month)Salary: Grade 109 (Support Hourly)Effective July 1, 2006, a post-offer physical and drug screening test is required for this positionHours:Job Goal:Maintain a safe, clean, and attractive physical plant.Minimum Qualifications:Ability to read and write English as it pertains to job functionsPrevious custodial experience desiredPossession of, or ability to obtain, an IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardCore Job Functions:Sweep, dust, vacuum, scrub, wax, and polish the floors and surfacesWash windows, walls, woodwork, and equipmentCleans assigned areas to prescribed standards and requirementsEmpty trash receptaclesPerform minor repairsMove furniture and equipment based on the needs of the facilityReplace light bulbs and perform minor maintenanceInspect all fire equipment on campus and maintain records of inspectionReport safety/security hazards and needs for major repairs in an expeditious mannerSecures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as requiredHandle emergency custodial duties for principals, teachers, and staffFollow district policies as outlinedPerform all duties safely and prudently as directed by supervisorsCore Values:Excellence in all we do.
