Building Automation Systems Specialist II

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for an experienced Building Automation Systems Specialist II in our Charlotte, NC location.Primary responsibility is delivering Building Automation System projects.This position is a field-based position where you may perform any number of roles. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers in delivery of any of the following project components…system design/review, software, installation, startup, commissioning, and owner training. The BAS Construction Technician will report directly to the Construction Manager and will be an active participant in the development and implementation of Operations Excellence.What do you get to do in this position?Diagnoses and repairs complex control systems malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.Implement databases, controls sequences, programs, and graphics for new construction and retrofit projects. Provides start-up and checkout documentation to the installation team for use in commissioning and validationOrganize and demonstrate required BAS project sequences to meet commissioning agents' requirements. Commission controls installation and verifies that control sequences meet specifications. Provides sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and as-built drawingsWhat qualifications will make you successful for this role?Recently graduated from an HVAC program or with a two-year technical degreeExperience with installing and repairing technical products and systems at customer sitesAbility to work under limited supervision for routine situationsTwo-year (2) degree in a related technical field required or related work experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances and/or badges as needed. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)Field experience in the HVAC controls industry; preferably with troubleshooting, maintenance, and service Technical, hands-on experience with commissioning and programming of DDC controls. Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.Electrical troubleshooting knowledgeExperience with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure BAS a plusMust be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet the schedules given by the leadershipDemonstrate the ability to operate independently and autonomously and take ownership of all tasks.
