Job Description :

We Are Seeking an experienced System Analyst with strong PHP, MySQL, Python, REST API, and AWS expertise to provide technical and operational support for an enterprise REDCap application hosted in a cloud environment. This role will be responsible for application administration, troubleshooting, integrations, upgrades, database support, user assistance, security, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting enterprise web applications, developing PHP-based solutions and APIs, managing cloud infrastructure, and collaborating with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to maintain a secure, reliable, and highly available platform.

Responsibilities:

·         Provide day-to-day technical and operational support for an enterprise REDCap application hosted within AWS.

·         Administer REDCap environments, including user and project management, reports, surveys, access, and application configuration.

·         Coordinate application patches, upgrades, and version releases while working with software vendors and technical stakeholders.

·         Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot REDCap External Modules using PHP within Linux and cloud-hosted environments.

·         Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot RESTful API integrations between REDCap and internal or external applications.

·         Develop automated data exchange and processing solutions using REDCap APIs, data import functionality, PHP, SQL, and Python.

·         Serve as a primary technical resource for application-related incidents, enhancements, integrations, and operational issues.

·         Support authentication and identity integrations, including OIDC, SAML, Active Directory, LDAP, and Single Sign-On (SSO).

·         Manage and maintain SSL/TLS certificates and support secure application communications.

·         Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams on compute resources, storage, networking, security groups, backups, monitoring, and other AWS services.

·         Support AWS environments utilizing services such as EC2, S3, and VPC.

·         Monitor application and infrastructure performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.

·         Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, database, integration, authentication, and user-access issues.

·         Maintain and optimize MySQL databases, including query development, data validation, and troubleshooting.

·         Develop PHP and SQL automation for reporting, data validation, and recurring operational processes.

·         Support disaster recovery activities, backup validation, system recovery, and business continuity procedures.

·         Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records, standard operating procedures, and support materials.

·         Provide end-user support, technical training, and knowledge transfer to internal staff.

·         Coordinate issue resolution across vendors, developers, database administrators, security teams, infrastructure teams, and business users.

·         Participate in change management, release management, production support, and application maintenance activities.

·         Create and manage work items for application enhancements, defects, upgrades, integrations, and maintenance activities.

·         Maintain appropriate priorities, assignments, dependencies, status information, and target completion dates for technical work.

·         Monitor dashboards and reporting tools to identify aging, overdue, or high-priority work.

·         Provide regular status updates regarding application support, development activities, issues, and operational priorities.

·         Ensure application support activities follow applicable security, privacy, audit logging, and healthcare data protection requirements.

·         Support compliance with HIPAA and other applicable data security and privacy standards.

Required Skills

·          Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

·         5+ years of professional experience developing, configuring, and troubleshooting PHP-based applications and microservices.

·         5+ years of experience administering and supporting MySQL databases, including queries, data validation, and troubleshooting.

·         5+ years of experience using Python for data loading, querying, automation, or related application support activities.

·         5+ years of experience designing, developing, integrating, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs.

·         5+ years of experience supporting enterprise web applications within AWS-hosted environments.

·          Strong experience with PHP development, debugging, configuration, and application maintenance.

·          Experience developing and supporting microservices-based applications.

·          Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, and security groups.

·          Experience working with Apache and/or Nginx web servers.

·          Experience implementing and supporting REDCap API integrations.

·          Experience configuring and maintaining REDCap External Modules.

·          Experience with identity and access management technologies such as OIDC, SAML, Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO.

·          Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates and secure application communications.

·          Understanding of application security, authentication, access controls, audit logging, and data protection practices.

·          Experience with application monitoring, backup processes, disaster recovery, and production support.

·          Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

·          Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·          Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical, business, and vendor teams.

·          Ability to manage multiple priorities and support production systems in a timely and organized manner.

Preferred Skills

·          Experience supporting REDCap within a public health, healthcare, higher education, or research environment.

·          Experience administering REDCap environments and supporting users, projects, reports, and surveys.

·          Experience integrating REDCap with enterprise applications through APIs and automated data flows.

·          Experience with Twilio or SMS-based survey gateways.

·          Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, or Single Sign-On implementations.

·          Experience using ServiceNow or comparable enterprise ticketing platforms.

·          Experience with Azure DevOps or similar DevOps/work management tools.

·          Experience with SSIS and/or SQL Server Agent.

·          Experience supporting API integrations with enterprise applications.

·          Experience developing Python automation and scripting solutions.

·          Experience coordinating application upgrades, patches, vendor support, and production releases.

·          Experience with cloud security and infrastructure administration.

·          Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare data protection, security, and privacy best practices.

·          AWS certification such as Cloud Practitioner, SysOps Administrator, or Solutions Architect.

·          Experience providing technical documentation, end-user training, and knowledge transfer.

·          Experience supporting highly available, business-critical enterprise applications.
