RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Provide pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care for pediatric and adult patients
• Must be comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in PACU setting
• Care for patients from all major surgical services including regional anesthesia and ECT procedures
• Work with patients from 34 operating rooms across 2 floors, 6 OR's on 1st floor, 28 OR's on 2nd floor
• Support high volume of pediatric patients on 1st floor MHSC section
• Handle cases from Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and pulmonary lab
• Work with special equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and Accuvein
• 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty
• Travel experience required
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS
• PACU or Pre/Post operative experience preferred
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility
• Compact or Louisiana nursing license required upon submittal
