Job Summary:
Assists surgeons during surgical procedures by providing first assist support, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Collaborates closely with surgical teams to uphold patient safety and maintain high standards of care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for procedures.

• Assist surgeons by retracting tissue, controlling bleeding, and handling surgical instruments.

• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols.

• Monitor patient status during surgery and communicate any concerns to the team.

• Ensure all surgical supplies and equipment are available and functioning properly.

• Document procedural details accurately and assist with post-operative care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current professional surgical technologist certification.

• Demonstrate previous experience as a Surgical Tech First Assist.

• Possess thorough knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.

• Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

• Maintain up-to-date CPR and emergency response certifications.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a surgical team.
