Press Operator Assistant

Your mission: * Follow all safety guidelines and procedures as required * Understand the Job Safety Analysis and Energy Safe Procedures for your position and machine * Continually learn all aspects of the safe and efficient operation of the press to become a Press Operator * Be an able and willing person, ambitious to learn all there is to know of the printing trade * Keep the area around the press clean and orderly, and to help the press operator as may be required. (Ink and Oil should be cleaned up as soon as possible.) * Aid the Operator at all times to facilitate set-up or production * Keep the ink supplied to all ink fountains * Shaft the rolls of paper for the press * Read and check the next order for paper, ink and other supplies as needed * Must record all ink and mill roll usage on proper forms * Operate Alar Machine as required * Perform all job duties assigned by Operator and Supervisors * Report major machine repairs to the shift leader * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management * Must possess basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions Your profile: * Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) * Must be able to lift to 80 pounds. * Previous machine operator experience, preferred * Willingness to work 12 hours on a day, evening or night schedule Our offer: * Benefits first of the month following date of hire - full medical, dental, vision, life insurance * 401k Retirement Savings Plan * PTO * 12 Paid Holidays * Monthly Incentive Bonuses * An interesting job within the packaging & paper industry * To be of a successful multicultural company * An empowering environment * Training opportunities (e.g. The Mondi Academy) Benefits: * Health benefits Get in touch: We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
