Forklift Operator

Forklift OperatorSimon & Schuster is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations at our Riverside Distribution Center. This position is responsible for safely moving pallets and materials throughout the facility, completing inventory-related transactions, and helping maintain an efficient and organized warehouse environment.Key ResponsibilitiesRetrieve and relocate empty pallets from designated warehouse locations.Process inventory "kills" accurately and promptly in the appropriate warehouse management system.Complete material and inventory moves within the facility.Safely operate warehouse equipment, including Order Selectors, Drexel forklifts, Turret trucks, and Low Riders.Provide backup support at the Delanco facility when business needs require.Assist other departments during peak seasons or periods of increased workload.Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and equipment-operating requirements.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.Perform additional duties based on departmental and operational needs.Qualifications and RequirementsPrevious experience operating warehouse equipment, including Order Selectors, Drexel forklifts, Turret trucks, and Low Riders.Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Experience with WM or a similar warehouse management system preferred.Ability to work overtime as needed, including during peak periods.High school diploma or GED preferred.Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced distribution environment.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and comply with all established safety procedures.Simon & Schuster US is an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
