Courier Position
Are you someone who enjoys being out in the field, staying active, and being a trusted point of contact for clients? First Legal is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Courier to support our San Diego operations. In this role, you'll play a critical part in the legal processsafely and accurately transporting documents, filing at local courthouses, and supporting time-sensitive service requests throughout San Diego County and surrounding areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver legal documents, mail, packages, and boxes to businesses, residences, and courthouses
- File documents at County Courthouses and retrieve copies of official records
- Complete process serving requests as assigned
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients
- Communicate proactively with your Supervisor regarding issues, delays, or concerns
- Follow dispatch instructions while prioritizing accuracy and timeliness
- Represent First Legal professionally at all times while on the road
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (2 points or fewer)
- Reliable personal vehicle (truck, van, or large SUV a plus)
- Valid auto insurance (verified quarterly)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Prior courier or professional driving experience
- 5+ years of general work experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Courteous driving habits and strict adherence to traffic laws
- High school diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs
- Use of a dolly for larger deliveries as needed
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
Schedule/Location
- Location: San Diego, CA
- Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM5:30 PM
- Budgeted Hours: 40 hours per week, plus occasional overtime
- Pay: $20$22 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement
