Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient Dermatology (Full Benefits | Weekdays Only)

Dermatology is one of the most procedure-rich, autonomy-forward specialties in outpatient medicine — and a growing rural health practice across North Carolina is looking for an experienced DCNP or FNP ready to own it. With site openings in Carolina Beach, Dunn, Tabor City, Rockingham, Garner, Wendell, Youngsville, Leland, and Jacksonville, this is a permanent, outpatient-only medical dermatology role built for a self-directed provider who is comfortable at the helm of an independent practice with remote Board-Certified Dermatologist supervision available via phone and Zoom. You’ll perform full-body skin exams, biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, and wound care for a patient population in underserved communities that genuinely lacks access to quality dermatologic care — building the kind of long-term patient relationships that make specialty practice meaningful. If you have at least one year of post‑rotation dermatology experience and are working toward or already hold your DCNP, this role was designed with you in mind. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations and full-body skin exams Diagnose and manage acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, rashes, skin cancers, and precancerous lesions Perform shave, punch, and excisional biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, and wound care Interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic testing Develop treatment plans collaboratively with supervising Board-Certified Dermatologist Prescribe medications and therapies within scope Educate patients on skin health and disease prevention Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation Qualifications Active, unrestricted North Carolina NP license National NP certification required Minimum 1 year post‑rotation dermatology experience under a Board-Certified Dermatologist required DCNP certification or eligible to obtain within 12 months of hire Must be enrolled or have prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid Strong procedural skills — biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal preferred Comfortable practicing independently with remote physician supervision Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems preferred Schedule & Compensation $85,000–$160,000/year (commensurate with experience) Full-time | Five 8‑hour shifts | Monday–Friday Outpatient only | Multiple NC site options available CME allowance + dedicated CME time | Malpractice covered Dermatology-focused onboarding and training support #J-18808-Ljbffr NPHire
