Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department Level I in Edgewater, New Jersey

Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting, demonstrating leadership in care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Assess patient health status systematically, develop and modify individualized care plans, and ensure timely documentation and patient education.

Respond effectively to urgent situations, administer medications, and utilize equipment per policies, ensuring a safe environment.

Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members, respecting cultural diversity and patient rights.

Participate in performance improvement activities, mentor colleagues, and stay current with professional development and certifications.

Maintain compliance with policies, standards, and licensure requirements, contributing to a positive work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Active RN license in New York State.

Minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience; recent graduates considered.

Preferred experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department.

Proficiency in basic data systems and effective communication skills.

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and infection control training.

Key Duties
