Student Worker – Front Desk (Job No: 495530) Location: Baton Rouge, LA College: LCTC System Department: Administration Appointment: Unclassified - Student Salary: Student pay depends on college standing and will be in accordance with LCTC Student Pay policy. Responsibilities Greet visitors and assist students, staff, and callers Answer phones, take messages, and manage mail Help with filing, data entry, and general office tasks Maintain records (vehicle logs, training, and reports) Assist with events, meetings, and office projects Support daily operations of the office Required Education Must be a full‑time student and maintain full‑time status in order to retain eligibility for continued employment as a student worker. Verification of full‑time student status must be furnished to the Human Resources office at the beginning of each Spring and Fall semester. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Good communication and organization skills Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Able to work independently and with a team Required Licenses and Certifications A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record Proof of motor vehicle insurance Proof of full‑time student status Must pass a background screen Preferred Experience Customer service experience Benefits Benefits offered include Employee Assistance Program and the option to contribute to Supplemental Retirement.
