Full-Time

Overview :

The IR Nurse is responsible for pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring and support, and post-procedure recovery and patient education. This position requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, labs, and obtaining informed consent
• Administer medications, including moderate sedation, in accordance with protocols
• Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures
• Assist physicians while maintaining sterile technique
• Identify and respond to complications or emergencies
• Provide post-procedure care, recovery monitoring, and discharge instructions
• Educate patients and families on procedures, risks, and follow-up care
• Collaborate with radiology, nursing, and ancillary teams to ensure seamless workflow

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
