Jefferson is seeking a major gift officer to serve as the primary philanthropic relationship manager for Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation-Elkins Park’s Moss Rehabilitation Institute for Brain Health (MRIBH). Level at hire is flexible depending on applicant experience level and all interested candidates with some previous fundraising experience and an interest in major gift fundraising are encouraged to apply. Particular interest in candidates with veteran services experience or connections.

Reporting to the Director of Development, Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation-Elkins Park, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the fundraising program at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation-Elkins Park’s Moss Rehabilitation Institute for Brain Health (MRIBH). The Moss Rehabilitation Institute for Brain Health (MRIBH) is a comprehensive traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation program that provides interdisciplinary care to veterans and first responders experiencing mild-to-moderate brain injuries (also known as concussions) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

This individual is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individuals, corporations, foundations, and community organizations that support MRIBH’s mission of providing world-class care for veterans and first responders living with traumatic brain injury (TBI), PTSD, and related invisible wounds. The incumbent will lead and develop a gifts program focusing on the MRIBH location.

  Job Duties

• Maintain and manage a portfolio and communicate with alumni, donors and friends of Jefferson (phone calls, in-person meetings, emails) in a manner that fosters a relationship that leads to a philanthropic commitment.
• Through internal meetings and faculty relationships, develop a comprehensive understanding of the needs and priorities of the various colleges and programs to articulate compelling cases for philanthropic support.
• Work with OIA centralized teams such as Communications, Events, Research, Annual Fund, Planned Giving, to advance donor relations. Maintain proactive communications with colleagues to ensure effective collaborations and synergy in achieving key fundraising goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years experience in frontline fundraising.
• Superior interpersonal skills and a capacity to engage, inspire, and persuade both internal and external constituents.
• Experience with database software systems/CRM and Microsoft Office.
• DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania or
• DL - Driver's License_NJ - State of New Jersey or
• DL - Driver's License_DE - State of Delaware
