Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, ACLS, and ventilator skills, with floating responsibilities to MS/Tele and other units. Requirements Active IL RN license required; candidates with a pending IL license may be considered (note pending status) Active MO state RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required Proficiency with ventilators, IV insertion, and telemetry monitoring Epic EMR experience required Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Responsibilities 12-bed ICU with an average daily census of 8 patients Patient population includes stroke, cardiac (cardioversion, pacemaker — no open heart), and a high volume of overdose cases; adult and geriatric age groups Special procedures performed include central line placement, bronchoscopy, and PEG tube Required skills include ventilator management, IV insertion, and telemetry monitoring Epic EMR experience required Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 Floating may be required to MS/Tele, medical, surgical, or intermediate care units; MS/Tele and medical/surgical ratios are 1:5–6 An 8-bed step-down unit is available but not always open Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed First-time travelers are welcome to apply Scrubs are provided Free parking on site Travelers may remain at this BJC facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-681673 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
