HR Intern PositionThe HR Intern provides quality HR compliance and administrative support on a part-time basis to The HR Team and employees of BWTS Bellwood. Intern will be responsible for delivering assistance and administrative support to HR Generalists and BWTS Staff on various projects.TasksDevelop and Maintain HR Compliance KnowledgeBegins to develop a current knowledge of HR Laws and Regulations.Keeps abreast of new developments in the HR field.Develops a working knowledge of HR information databases and searchable resources.Keeps abreast of Document retention requirements; Organization of personnel files; I-9sHR AdministrationTrack progress, deadlines, and priorities of all projectsPrepare Word, Excel and PowerPoint documentsProofread HR documents including audits, all-employee communications, and handbooks.Refill paper in printer, and copier. Refill any supplies; organize filesAssist with Payroll and SUB pay processManage Customer SatisfactionMaintain a satisfied level of customer service with customers both internal and external.Properly handle employee requests through responsiveness, follow-up, and escalation.TeamworkWork proactively with other team members.Prioritize activities for the best interest of the team when working on joint projects.Handle requests and deliver quality solutions if able, or escalate the request to a more senior team memberOpenly share new ideas and information with other team members.Keep HR team apprised to avoid surprises and disappointed employeesQualifications, Skills and AbilitiesHigh School DegreeCurrently College Sophomore - Senior pursuing Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related fieldAbility to maintain confidentialityAble to effectively communicate across all levels of the organizationStrong customer service skillsProblem solving capabilitiesAbility to correctly make decisions involving employee issues/ problems including when to escalate to a more senior department memberExceptional written and oral communication skillsExceptional organizational and planning skillsDetail orientedProficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mailPay Range: $20.49 - $27.94Optional 401k availableFlexible SchedulingCandidates not meeting the requirements will not be consideredInternal Use Only: Indirect Hourly
