Supplier Quality Engineer

About this role This position reports directly to the Quality Manager at Tritium Power Solution Inc and is based in Lebanon, Tennessee. You are part of a rapidly growing team responsible for Manufacturing, Total Quality, Continuous Improvement, Training, H&S & the Environment. The Quality Engineer (Supplier) is responsible for proactively ensuring new parts are validated as per the approved process between Tritium and parts supplier, and for resolving all-supplier related issues for parts failing during the manufacturing process or later in the field during the warranty period. What You'll Do Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: Manage defect landscape for area of responsibility, supplied parts quality. Raising NCRs to suppliers and drive RCA resolution at the supplier side. Be the lead or Quality Cross function support across all functions (Engineering, SupplyChain & Production) to meet quality & production volume targets for supplier part issues. Use of business tools such as NetSuite, Jira systems (Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR), Concession (QCon), etc.) and Engineering Change Management tools, etc. to perform duties and meet targets. Quality Reporting - dashboard development and data / report update and presentation into various forums and meetings. Working with Engineering & Supply Chain to identify parts that require part validation to be performed for sample and new prototype parts; to work with internal departments and ensure the part validation is done prior to the parts being ordered for full production runs. Lead and attend project or quality meetings as required to submit feedback, discuss, and resolve issues. Guide and develop the Part Validation process with suppliers to ensure the part is validated according to the required submission level, Part validation levels 1-3. Assist Supply Chain and Suppliers to develop their quality processes to meet Tritium’s Quality requirements. Supplier visits when required to resolve quality issues, audit quality processes, and inspect the production site so that quality issues can be highlighted & resolved. Supporting internal auditing and external auditors where required, e.g., ISO. Work with and assist various internal departments for Quarantined and Scrapped parts identified & returned. Focus on Supplier actions, driving the Quality portion of the overall process. What You'll Bring BSc/BA in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Manufacturing, preferably-Mechatronics Engineering) Quality Engineer roles especially Supplier Quality (SQE) Experience in the preparation and compilation of PPAP’s (Production Part Approval) including submission of the initial samples, including process validation audit (Supplier audit) Experience and awareness of the approval process of the “Design Validation Plan” and “Production Validation Test” established by Engineering and ensure its completion according to the program milestones Experience in interaction and the development of effective working relationships with production, suppliers and field quality engineers as part of Quality team Reviewing product test plans that will meet design requirements.
