Job Summary: A US-based FinTech company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work with large-scale data systems, focusing on both batch and real-time data processing using Java and Kafka.
Skills Must Have Hard skills: - proficient in: Multithreading App, Data Structures, Algorithms - expert in: System Architecture, JAVA, Kafka, Data Pipelines
Soft skills: - competent in: Reliability
Nice-to-have Hard skills: - beginner in: Copilot - competent in: Data Quality, GCP, Elasticsearch, Azure, AWS, AI, Redis, FinTech
Job Description Additional Requirements Must have strong hands-on experience with Java, experience with large-scale data processing (millions+ records), experience with Kafka or similar streaming systems, solid understanding of multithreading/concurrency, good knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and experience designing data pipelines and system architecture.
Responsibilities Build and maintain data pipelines (batch/streaming), process high-volume data and real-time streams, ensure data quality (validation, deduplication, consistency), design system architecture and choose appropriate tools (Kafka, Redis, etc.), and optimize performance and reliability under load.
