The facility offers a state‑of‑the‑art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. It also operates four rural health clinics, a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department, and an award‑winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers. Role Purpose The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities—including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care after completing a nursing program and before licensure. The graduate nurse must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation from an accredited school of nursing to remain employed in a HSO in Missouri. Responsibilities Educate patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration. Use critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. Develop and implement individual plans of care in collaboration with other healthcare team members, following established guidelines and standards. Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Evaluate patient response and modify care plans accordingly throughout the stay. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Participate in professional development. Maintain constant alertness and work in a safe manner as required for this safety‑sensitive position. Minimum Requirements Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
