Experience Requirements Candidates must have at least one year of recent acute-care experience providing radiologic services to:
- Emergency Department patients
- Inpatient patients
- Outpatient patients
- Operating Room patients
- An active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license
- Current ARRT certification
- Current BLS certification preferred
- A QuantiFERON-TB Gold or T-SPOT test completed within the past year
- Documentation of MMR and Varicella immunity through positive titers or vaccination records
- A physical examination completed within the past year
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout each procedure
- Properly operate and maintain radiologic equipment
- Follow radiation-safety standards and infection-control procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
- Accurately document procedures and patient information
- Provide professional, compassionate care in a fast-paced acute-care environment
