Key Responsibilities

Conduct DSM diagnoses, prescribe, and monitor psychotropic medications. Provide individual, group, and family counseling for inmates/residents. Lead and supervise mental health services, ensuring compliance with regulations. Participate in civil commitment proceedings and discharge planning. Oversee operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in mental health programs. Coordinate crisis management and participate in anti-terrorism planning. Support legal processes related to correctional psychiatry.

Requirements

Qualifications & Must-Haves Education: Advanced degree in Psychology or a related clinical field, with applicable certification/licensure. Experience: Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable position. Licensing: Must be a licensed/certified psychiatrist, or willing to obtain Kansas licensure. Valid Driver's License: Required.

Compensation & Benefits
