Must-Have: - Strong communication skills with colleagues, patients, and families. - Flexibility to work in changing conditions. - Manual dexterity to operate equipment and assist patients. - Ability to lift and move patients and maneuver equipment. - Agility for frequent position changes. - Visual and hearing acuity to receive information from patients.

Description: The staff physical therapist is responsible for the evaluation, consultation, and treatment of patients. Focuses on ensuring the patient progresses to their prior level of function or maximum medical improvement per their Plan of Care. Performs appropriate assessments on each patient, including reassessments as per policy. Treats a diverse patient population including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients. Maintains accurate records pertinent to patient care, including progress reports and daily notes. Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and provides instruction to supportive staff and students. Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Department Manager. Requires astute communication skills to adjust to various job situations involving different people and projects. Demands the ability to exercise independent judgment. Involves frequent changes in physical position and exposure to busy environments and emergency situations. Delivers treatment in multiple settings including inpatient and outpatient.
