Join our team as an Insulator Journeyperson and play a critical role in delivering high‑quality insulation solutions for our ship repair and modernization projects. As An Insulator Journeyperson, You Will Responsible for the installation and/or removal of insulation on any component onboard ships during various stages of repair and modernization. Measures, cuts, and fabricates insulation materials for application to bulkheads, overheads, piping systems, vent ducts, machinery, and equipment to reduce heat loss or absorption, prevent moisture condensation, and deaden sound. Performs related tasks as assigned; some may become essential to the position. Knowledge of piping systems and layout patterns for hull board and lagging materials. Required Education, Experience, & Skills High school graduate or equivalent; minimum of 3 years related experience in all facets of insulation on military and/or commercial vessels. Ability to read and comprehend specifications and drawings. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with insulation materials and techniques. Knowledge of shipyard operations and safety protocols. Pay Information Full‑time salary range: $61,360 - $93,662.
