Service Access Manager - Eye Center Hudson III

Manage service access activities and staff to achieve continuous and optimal patient care. Duties and responsibilities include supervising and coordinating activities of a clinic/department, establishing systems for patient flow, directing scheduling and financial services activities, participating in committees, representing the clinic/department, planning and scheduling work, training new personnel, communicating and modeling the values of DUHS, planning and implementing strategies for recruitment and development, handling personnel actions, coordinating diagnostic and treatment activities, greeting and assisting visitors and patients, maintaining liaison with medical staff, developing policies and procedures, maintaining interface with physicians and administrative staff, collecting and analyzing data, generating reports, enforcing regulatory requirements, understanding and following internal controls, preparing department budget, monitoring expenditures, coordinating sponsorship eligibility, and performing other related duties.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, a Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred, six years of experience in a healthcare setting, strong verbal and written communication skills, data entry experience, skills in working with spreadsheets, databases and power point presentations, medical terminology knowledge, ability to organize and prioritize, strong customer service background, ability to create and apply specific departmental policies, rules and regulations, situational leadership skills, ability to lead teams, knowledge of general accounting principles.
