Epic Principal Trainer

Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM| Hybrid Position- 60/40- Onsite/Remote Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position. Job Purpose or Objective(s): Principal trainers (PTs) work with the training manager, application coordinators, and application managers to develop and maintain the training program for the roles in their application. PTs for applications that train clinicians also work with specialty champions and nurse champions. You will report to the Epic IT Training Manager. Primary Tasks: 1. You will develop role‐based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications. 2. Design, develop, and maintain instructional materials. 3. Maintaining policy and procedure documentation. Incorporating feedback from others into existing training and training administration procedures. 4. Learning new content and consulting with subject matter experts to develop training materials and answer any participant questions. 5. You will help with building and testing of training environments and providing support and troubleshooting issues. 6. Collaborating with other trainers by co‐facilitating classroom instruction and assisting with exercises. Training and credentialing additional classroom trainers. 7. Preparing training lessons, printing materials, and setting up the training room and environment before the training session. 8. Serving as an expert educator to internal staff. Training staff and end-users by teaching technical topics. Following up with trainees outside of the classroom to offer additional support. 9. You will manage projects by prioritizing projects and by creating and following timelines 10. Other tasks as assigned by management. Requirements: Bachelor’s in education, healthcare or computer science or 4 years equivalent work experience in business or related field.
