CMM Programmer

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a CMM Programmer to support a precision aerospace manufacturing environment producing complex, tight-tolerance machined components. This individual will be responsible for programming and supporting CMM inspection routines using PC-DMIS, ensuring parts meet stringent quality and GD&T requirements throughout multiple stages of production, including roughed, semi-finished, and finished components.

On a daily basis, this role will partner closely with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Production teams to support inspection needs, troubleshoot quality issues, and drive corrective actions. The CMM Programmer will maintain inspection documentation, support root cause analysis efforts, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing inspection processes. This role also includes supporting and training inspectors on CMM operation and inspection techniques within a regulated aerospace environment.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of overall experience in manufacturing quality, inspection, or metrology

• 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS required)

• Strong GD&T interpretation and ability to program from blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience inspecting precision-machined parts across milling and turning processes

• Proven ability to collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Production teams to resolve quality issues - Aerospace manufacturing experience

• Experience working with aluminum, titanium, and nickel alloys

• Manual layout inspection experience

• Experience supporting root cause analysis, corrective actions, or inspector training
