IRONMAN is coming back to Santa Cruz, and we are looking to hire individuals to work in our event store. This is a great opportunity for friends or family to get involved with the race. Work at the official IRONMAN merchandise store assisting customers, athletes, family, and fans in a fast-paced retail environment.
Position: Temporary Retail Associate
Location: Depot Park 119 Center St, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
Pay: $20/HR

Available shifts being hired for: ***HOURS SUBJECT TO CHANGE***
- Wednesday, September 9th, 12:00PM 4:00pm (4hrs)
- Thursday, September 10th 10:00AM 4:00PM (6hrs)
- Friday, September 11th, 1:30PM 7:00PM (5.5hrs)
- Saturday, September 12th, 9:00AM 4:00PM (7hrs)
- Sunday, September 13th 8:00AM 7:00PM (11hrs)
We are looking to hire 10 individuals with retail experience that are outgoing, friendly, and hard-working with the ability to take directions from management.
- Assisting Merchandise Event Coordinator and Operations in the execution of store setup and breakdown
- Stocking the sales floor and general store maintenance
- Greeting customers and assisting them with their various needs and questions
- Maintaining visual presentation of the store by sizing, folding and completing other tasks
- Assisting customers in fitting rooms
- Processing monetary transactions at the cash register
Qualifications:
- Retail experience preferred.
- Upon hire all staff must complete the required onboarding tax paperwork prior to work shifts and provide proof of identification.
- Due to increased restrictions, we will not be able to hire anyone under the age of 18 this year. We are actively working on finding a resolution with HR for next year; however, we will not be able to offer employment to minors.
- This is an active working environment. Employees will be expected to bend and reach, lift heavy boxes, and withstand being on their feet all day.
- Appropriate breaks and lunches will be given depending upon the length of the shift.
