As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Enhanced Part Time in Rochester, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Tue 10:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers and store personnel while following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the sales floor, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other prohibited activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents such as suspected theft, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, requesting assistance from store leadership and/or law enforcement when appropriate.
• Maintain required firearm licensing and qualifications, and carry and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
• Document and report security-related incidents, suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations using clear and accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
