As a Medical Records Clerk, your responsibilities will include:

• Medical Chart Management:

• Retrieve medical charts for healthcare staff and clinicians as requested.

• File all in-use medical records daily and ensure the security of both active and inactive medical records.

• Documentation Oversight:

• Ensure charts are counter-signed by physicians and reviewed for completeness.

• Release medical information under the direction of the Medical Records Supervisor, Medical Director, or Health Services Administrator.

• Administrative Support:

• Answer telephones, take messages, and make necessary calls.

• Type letters, reports, and memorandums.

• Maintain a roster or appointment book for on-site and off-site patient appointments.

• Inventory Management:

• Order, receive, and maintain office supplies as required.

• Additional Duties:

• Perform other duties as assigned to support healthcare operations.

Key Qualifications

• Educational Background:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical records management.

• Familiarity with the Problem-Oriented Medical Record (SOAP) system is essential.

• Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of a background check, security clearance, and drug screening.
