Admissions Counselor

Missouri State University is hiring an Admissions Counselor. The counselor will develop and implement recruitment strategies within a specific territory, manage the student recruitment pipeline, and serve as a representative for the university to prospective students and related stakeholders. Highlights Develop, implement, and evaluate recruitment strategies to increase student engagement, applications, and enrollment yield. Manage all aspects of student recruitment including relationship development, outreach, event planning, student counseling, and enrollment conversion. Represent Missouri State University to prospective students, families, school counselors, community organizations, transfer partners, alumni, faculty, and staff. Possess comprehensive knowledge of academic programs, admissions policies, financial aid, and student support services. Required skills include public speaking, organizational abilities, and proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office. Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum one year of recruitment or related experience; significant student leadership experience may substitute. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Position involves frequent overnight and weekend travel, mainly in fall and spring semesters; travel expenses reimbursed.
