Creative Catering Services | Paw Paw, Michigan Full-Time | Competitive Pay Based on Experience About the Position Full-Time Catering & Kitchen Team Member Creative Catering is seeking a dependable and experienced Catering & Kitchen Team Member to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position that combines kitchen production, catering preparation, deliveries, event setup and service, and day-to-day catering operations. Catering is a constantly changing environment. Our ideal candidate enjoys variety, can adjust priorities quickly and is comfortable jumping in wherever needed to get the job done. This is an excellent position for someone who enjoys food and hospitality but doesn't want to spend every day doing exactly the same thing. Responsibilities Prepare food according to recipes, menus and catering specifications Assist with daily kitchen production and catering preparation Portion, package and organize food for catering orders Load and unload food, equipment and supplies Safely transport catering orders and equipment to event locations Assist with event setup, execution and breakdown Maintain clean, sanitary and organized kitchen and work areas Follow proper food-handling and food-safety procedures Keep catering orders organized and help ensure nothing is forgotten Communicate effectively with coworkers and management Adjust priorities as catering schedules and customer needs change Assist with additional kitchen and catering responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For Kitchen experience is required. The right person will also: Have open and flexible availability, including evenings and weekends when events require them Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record Be dependable and punctual Be comfortable working independently Work well as part of a team Take initiative and recognize what needs to be done Stay calm and productive when priorities change Be organized and attentive to details Communicate well with coworkers and customers Take pride in food quality, cleanliness and presentation Be willing to learn our systems and standards Physical Requirements Catering is physically demanding. Applicants must be comfortable: Standing and walking for extended periods Bending, reaching and working on their feet throughout a shift Repeatedly lifting and carrying catering supplies, food and equipment Loading and unloading vehicles Working in a commercial kitchen environment Working both indoors and outdoors depending on the event Schedule This is a full-time position with open availability required. Catering schedules vary according to our events and customers. Hours may include weekdays, evenings and weekends. Applicants should understand that this is not a traditional Monday-Friday, 9-5 position. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience, skills and ability. Candidates with strong kitchen experience, catering/event experience, leadership abilities and the ability to work independently may qualify for higher compensation.
