Summary
The Product Manager owns RPR’s mobile product experience and manages the end-to-end product lifecycle for other assigned features and services across the RPR platform. Leveraging RPR’s extensive dataset of MLS records and public property information, the Product Manager translates complex business objectives and user needs into structured functional and technical requirements. This role serves as a key cross-functional leader, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, software engineers, MX/UX design teams, QA testers, and operational groups to bring high-impact tools to market for REALTORS® nationwide.
Primary responsibilities
1. Product Planning & Roadmap Ownership
- Define Strategic Direction: Partner with leadership to contribute to RPR product strategy and own the roadmap for assigned products, including the mobile product line.
- Specify Market Requirements: Conduct research and synthesize user feedback to define market, technical, and feature requirements for existing and future products.
- Identify Integration Opportunities: Evaluate third-party vendor applications, software integrations, and emerging technology solutions to complement and expand RPR’s platform capabilities.
- Drive Adoption & Utilization: Establish measurable product adoption goals and execute strategic initiatives to maximize product utility, user engagement, and user retention.
2. End-to-End Product & Lifecycle Management
- Own Mobile Product Experience: Serve as the product manager for RPR’s mobile product line, leading discovery, roadmap planning, requirements, delivery, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Manage Full Lifecycle Execution: Oversee assigned product lines across every phase of the lifecycle—from concept, planning, and tactical development to release, enablement, and post-launch review.
- Define AI Product Opportunities: Identify AI use cases that address clear user or business needs, and define measurable outcomes, product constraints, and tradeoffs before development begins
- Prioritize Multi-Product Workstreams: Balance priorities across multiple simultaneous products, features, and platform enhancements at varying stages of definition and development.
- Track & Analyze Performance: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analytics, and usage metrics to measure business impact and inform future iteration backlogs.
3. Execution, Engineering & Quality Support
- Author Requirements & Documentation: Write precise product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide implementation.
- Support Engineering Workflows: Provide continuous clarification and guidance to development teams during coding, technical architecture design, and build phases.
- Partner on Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to evaluate functional deliverables against stated specifications, prioritize defect resolution, and determine release readiness.
4. Project Leadership & Delivery Coordination
- Deliver Complex Projects: Independently manage moderate-to-large product initiatives, coordinating delivery schedules, cross-functional dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Enable Operational Alignment: Communicate clear delivery timelines and feature updates to business leadership, operational teams, customer support, and marketing to ensure seamless operational launches.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Product Lifecycle & Roadmap Management: Proficiency in guiding B2B web and mobile applications through every phase—from discovery, strategic planning, and functional definition to release and adoption monitoring.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Ability to write clear, structured product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Agile & Scrum Execution: Practical experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and work management platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Technical & Architectural Literacy: Strong grasp of web/mobile software architecture, APIs, data flows, database concepts, and system integrations.
- Data & Analytics Proficiency: Aptitude for leveraging product metrics, usage data, business intelligence, and user feedback to make data-driven backlogging decisions.
- Productivity, Prototyping & AI Tools: Proficiency in standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Docs), visual wireframing or strategy tools (e.g., Figma, Balsamiq), and AI-assisted research, analysis, or prototyping tools.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Capacity to align, influence, and motivate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, UX/MX, QA, marketing, and operations) without formal line authority.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex business problems, large datasets (such as MLS and public property records), and market needs into actionable product solutions.
- Executive Communication & Presentation: Ability to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations and status updates for executive leadership, operational partners, and end users.
- Multitasking & Priority Management: Ability to independently manage multiple products, feature sets, and moderate-to-large initiatives at varying stages of development under shifting priorities.
- Adaptability & Continuous Improvement: Capacity to maintain long-term feature advocacy, continuously identifying platform gaps and expanding product value over time.
Required Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Product Management Experience: 3–5 years of product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience, with a proven track record of bringing web and mobile B2B platforms, business intelligence tools, or data-driven applications from concept through the full release lifecycle.
- AI Product & Tool Experience: 2–3 years of experience using AI tools and contributing to the implementation of AI-enabled product features or workflows, including requirements gathering, prompt or model evaluation, testing, launch, and post-launch performance assessment.
- Domain Expertise (Preferred): Experience in real estate technology, MLS data structures, geospatial tools, or public property records.
- Data-Centric Product Experience (Preferred): Experience with data-intensive products, APIs, data aggregation, ETL or data pipelines or data mapping initiatives.
Technical & Process Proficiencies

Leadership & Soft Skills
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to direct, motivate, and align multidisciplinary teams (engineering, UX design, marketing, QA, and operations) without direct line authority.
- Strategic Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and formal presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear strategic narratives for executive and business stakeholders.
- Data-Driven Problem Solving: Strong research, quantitative, and analytical skills, with a focus on converting user feedback and complex data into actionable product requirements.
